N9K-PAC-3000W-B Description
The N9K-PAC-3000W-B is a Cisco Nexus 9500 Series AC power supply for Nexus 9504, Nexus 9508 and Nexus 9516 chassis on 200V to 240V AC feeds. The supply delivers 3000 W from a single input at 50 to 60 Hz, draws air in from the port side and is rated 80PLUS Platinum. A chassis should not mix AC and DC supplies, so a supply added later must match the type already installed.

Application Scenarios
A Nexus 9500 chassis in a room with 200V to 240V AC power takes the supply on one input per module. A Nexus 9504 holds up to four supplies, a Nexus 9508 up to eight and a Nexus 9516 up to ten.
A chassis planned for n+1 or n+n redundancy uses the supply as one of several 3000 W modules. Two supplies give 6000 W combined and 3000 W in either redundancy mode, and larger counts raise the figures in steps.

N9K-PAC-3000W-B is the single-input 3000 W AC supply for 200V to 240V feeds, whereas N9K-PDC-3000W-B takes -48V to -60V DC on two inputs, so a DC-powered room needs N9K-PDC-3000W-B and an AC room starts with N9K-PAC-3000W-B. Feeds above 240V, such as 277V AC or 240V to 380V DC, need N9K-PUV-3000W-B, which accepts both at 3000 W through one input. Racks wired with dual feeds, or sites that want the highest efficiency, move to N9K-PUV2-3000W-B at 3150 W with two inputs and 80PLUS Titanium. Supplies added later should match the AC or DC class already installed in the chassis.
