C9300L-24UXG-2Q-E Description
The C9300L-24UXG-2Q-E is a Cisco Catalyst 9300L Series fixed-uplink stackable access switch for campus closets that connect 10G-capable access points and Gigabit endpoints. The switch combines 8 multigigabit and 16 Gigabit Cisco UPOE copper ports with two fixed 40G QSFP+ uplinks, a 722W default PoE budget and 352 Gbps of switching capacity. The -E suffix carries Network Essentials, which limits OSPF to 1,000 routes and leaves out BGP, VXLAN and MPLS.

Product Performance
Key Features
Eight ports run 100M through 10G and the other sixteen run 10M to 1G. Faster access points take the multigigabit ports, and the rest of the closet stays on Gigabit.
The two QSFP+ uplinks are part of the chassis, so there is no uplink module to select. Breakout interfaces are supported from Cisco IOS XE Gibraltar 16.12.2 for splitting a 40G port into 10G links.
With the default 1100W supply, 722W is available for powered devices. A 350W second supply brings the total to 1072W, and a 715W or 1100W second supply to 1440W.
The ports support Cisco UPOE at 60W and IEEE 802.3bt Type 3. Delivering that power on all 24 ports takes two 1100W supplies.
The tier covers Layer 2, routed access with OSPF up to 1,000 routes, 802.1X and MACsec-128. BGP, VRF, VXLAN and MACsec-256 belong to Network Advantage.
Stacking runs on StackWise-320 with a C9300L stack kit and a choice of cable lengths. StackPower is not available on Catalyst 9300L switches.
Application Scenarios
On a campus office floor, the switch feeds multigigabit access points from its eight faster UPOE ports and connects phones and desktops through the sixteen Gigabit ports.
A school building with classroom access points and cameras can land them on this switch and carry the traffic to the main distribution room over a 40G QSFP+ uplink.
A branch office that needs only Layer 2 and basic routed access can stack several switches over StackWise-320 and uplink the stack to the site core at 40G.

A site that needs Network Advantage from day one should order C9300L-24UXG-2Q-A, and an installed Essentials switch can move up later with a C9300L-LIC= term (C9300L-24-E-A-3, -5 or -7), which cannot be placed on the switch order. Four 10G/1G SFP+ uplinks and 880W of default PoE come with C9300L-24UXG-4X-E, at 272 Gbps against 352 Gbps. More than 24 copper drops call for C9300L-48UXG-2Q-E, with 12 mGig and 36 1G ports and 472 Gbps, but only 675W by default.

- Subscription tier: Order a Network Essentials term: C9300L-DNA-E-24-xY (Cisco DNA) or C9300L-DNX-E-24-xY (Cisco Catalyst), with x = 3, 5 or 7. New orders require a subscription of the same tier as the built-in Network Essentials license, and the configurator defaults to Cisco DNA Advantage for 5 years.
- Second power supply: A second PWR-C1-1100WAC-P is selected by default; C9300L-SPS-NONE removes it. Without it PoE stays at the 722W single-supply level; the 1440W maximum needs a second supply.
- Stack kit: Choose C9300L-STACK-KIT (STACK-T3 cable) or C9300L-STACK-KIT2 (STACK-T3A cable), with a 50 cm, 1 m or 3 m cable. A C9300L stack kit holds two adapters and one cable, and the cable series must match the kit.
- Power cords: Select the cord type for the destination country; two cords ship and the default is North America. The wrong cord type does not fit the local outlet.
