The Cisco Catalyst C9300X-48TX-A, also called the “48TX Advantage edge switch,” is a high-density 10GBASE-T access switch optimized for modern campus networks and branch-office deployments. Delivering 48 × 10 Gbps copper ports with auto-sensing down to 1 Gbps and 100 Mbps, it offers wire-speed performance through a 1 Tbps StackWise-1T fabric (2.76 Tbps in an eight-member stack). The C9300X-48TX-A features 100 Gbps hardware IPsec and AES-256 MACsec encryption for secure site-to-site VPN and link-level data protection. Powered by an on-device x86 CPU, 16 GB DRAM, 16 GB of flash, and a USB 3.0 SSD slot, this switch doubles as an application platform for containerized services and real-time analytics.
