The C9300L-48PF-4G-E is a Cisco Catalyst 9300L fixed-uplink stackable access switch for campus access networks that need high PoE+ power over 1G copper. The switch has 48 PoE+ ports, four 1G SFP uplinks, 104 Gbps of switching capacity (424 Gbps with stacking) and an 890W default PoE budget on its 1100W supply. The -E suffix carries Network Essentials, and the uplinks are fixed because the switch has no modular uplink slot.

The 1100W supply leaves 890W for PoE, against 505W on the C9300L-48P-4G-E. A second 1100W supply raises the available PoE to 1440W, limited by port count and port rating.
The -E suffix sets Network Essentials. Network Advantage arrives on the C9300L-48PF-4G-A, or through a C9300L-LIC= upgrade term on an installed switch.
Uplink speed is set by the base hardware. The Catalyst 9300L has no slot for the C9300-NM network modules.
Application Scenarios
A branch or campus closet with many access points, cameras and phones can use the 890W budget where the 505W default of the C9300L-48P-4G-E would run short.
Access layers that need Layer 2 switching and basic routed access without the Network Advantage feature set run on the Network Essentials entitlement.

C9300L-48PF-4G-E is the Network Essentials version of C9300L-48PF-4G-A, with identical hardware, 890W default PoE and four fixed 1G SFP uplinks. Sites that need Network Advantage order C9300L-48PF-4G-A, or upgrade an installed C9300L-48PF-4G-E with a C9300L-LIC= term (C9300L-48-E-A-3, -5 or -7), which cannot be placed on the original switch order and cannot be reversed with any downgrade PID. Closets that need only 505W of PoE can order C9300L-48P-4G-E with its 715W supply. Sites that need 10G uplinks choose C9300L-48PF-4X-E, which also raises standalone switching from 104 Gbps to 176 Gbps.

Ordering Checklist
- Subscription term: Order a 48-port Essentials term: C9300L-DNA-E-48-3Y, -5Y or -7Y for Cisco DNA, or C9300L-DNX-E-48-3Y, -5Y or -7Y for Cisco Catalyst. The configurator defaults to Cisco DNA Advantage with a 5-year term, which does not match a Network Essentials switch.
- Stack kit: Keep the default C9300L-STACK-KIT with a 50 cm cable, or select a 1 m or 3 m cable instead. The StackWise-320 ports need the kit and a cable long enough for the rack layout.
- Second power supply: The second supply is selected by default; C9300L-SPS-NONE removes it. With one PWR-C1-1100WAC-P the PoE budget is 890W, and it reaches 1440W only with the second supply.
- Power cords: Select the cord type for the destination country; two cords ship and the default is North America. The wrong cord type means the switch cannot be plugged in on site.
