The C9300L-48PF-4X-E is a Cisco Catalyst 9300L Series stackable access switch for wiring closets that power dense PoE+ endpoints. The switch has 48 10/100/1000 PoE+ ports with an 890W default PoE budget, four fixed 10G/1G SFP+ uplinks, 176 Gbps of switching capacity and Network Essentials licensing. The 890W budget comes from the default PWR-C1-1100WAC-P supply and reaches 1440W with a second supply, while the C9300L platform has no StackPower and no modular uplink slot.

Key Features
The default 1100W supply provides 890W for PoE, enough to run 29 of the 48 ports at the full 30W PoE+ rating at the same time.
A second 715W or 1100W supply lifts available PoE to 1440W, which covers 30W on all 48 ports. A 350W second supply gives 1240W.
Four SFP+ ports take 10G or 1G optics. Uplink speed is set by the hardware, because the C9300L has no network module slot.
Stack bandwidth is 320 Gbps across up to eight members, and a stack of this switch raises switching capacity from 176 Gbps to 496 Gbps. Members must share a license level and use C9300L-STACK-KIT or C9300L-STACK-KIT2.
The license covers Layer 2, routed access with OSPF up to 1,000 routes, 802.1X and MACsec-128. BGP, VXLAN and MPLS belong to Network Advantage.
StackPower is not supported on the C9300L, so every switch in a stack carries its own PoE budget rather than sharing one pool.
Application Scenarios
A floor wiring closet that feeds high-power access points, IP phones and cameras can draw on the 890W PoE budget across its 48 PoE+ ports and send that traffic to distribution over 10G SFP+ uplinks.
In a campus building, up to eight switches can join a StackWise-320 stack, which gives a floor of PoE+ endpoints one management point and 496 Gbps of switching capacity.
A branch office that needs Layer 2 and routed access, with OSPF up to 1,000 routes, can run its whole access layer on the Network Essentials license.

C9300L-48PF-4X-E carries 890W of PoE on its default PWR-C1-1100WAC-P, while C9300L-48P-4X-E has the same 48 PoE+ ports and 4 x 10G/1G SFP+ uplinks on a PWR-C1-715WAC-P with 505W. Sites that feed more than 505W of PoE+ devices stay on C9300L-48PF-4X-E, and a second supply raises either model to as much as 1440W. Uplinks that only need 1G fiber can use C9300L-48PF-4G-E, which keeps the 890W budget but has 4 x 1G SFP uplinks and 104 Gbps of standalone switching against 176 Gbps. When Network Advantage is needed on day one, order C9300L-48PF-4X-A, or upgrade an installed switch later with a C9300L-LIC= term (C9300L-48-E-A-3, -5 or -7), which cannot be placed on the same order as the switch.

Ordering Checklist
- Subscription term: Order a 48-port Cisco DNA Essentials term such as C9300L-DNA-E-48-3Y, C9300L-DNA-E-48-5Y or C9300L-DNA-E-48-7Y; CCW defaults to Advantage with a 5-year term. The subscription tier must match the Network Essentials or Network Advantage license on the switch, and the default does not suit every suffix.
- Second power supply: A second PWR-C1-1100WAC-P is selected by default; C9300L-SPS-NONE removes it. PoE stays at 890W without it and reaches up to 1440W with it.
- Stacking kit: C9300L-STACK-KIT with a 50 cm cable is the default; 1 m and 3 m cables are the other options. A stack needs the kit and a cable long enough for the rack layout.
- Power cords: Two cords ship per switch, North America by default; select the cord type for the destination country. The default cord does not fit outlets outside North America.
