The C9300L-48UXG-4X-M is a Cisco Catalyst 9300L-M fixed-uplink UPOE access switch for campus and branch closets managed from the Cisco Meraki Dashboard. It has 12 Multigigabit and 36 Gigabit copper ports with 60W UPOE, four fixed 10G/1G SFP+ uplinks, a 675W PoE budget on the default 1100W supply and 392 Gbps of switching capacity. The switch runs under a Meraki Advanced or Enterprise license and stacks over StackWise-320 with other Catalyst 9300L and 9300LM members.

Product Performance
Key Features
The switch is configured and monitored from the cloud through the Meraki Dashboard, and it needs an active Meraki term license of 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 years to be recognized there. Meraki Adaptive Policy provides group-based segmentation.
Twelve ports negotiate 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G or 10G and the other 36 run at 10M, 100M or 1G. Cat5e carries Multigigabit runs to 5G, while 10G needs Cat6 within 55 m or Cat6A up to 100 m.
Every copper port supports Cisco UPOE at up to 60W, so virtual desktop terminals, building gateways and LED fixtures can sit beside access points and phones. The cable grade and the power class of each endpoint are what to check per port.
Four 10G/1G SFP+ uplinks are built in, with no network module slot to change them later. Switching capacity is 392 Gbps standalone and 712 Gbps with stacking, at 291.66 Mpps forwarding.
The default PWR-C1-1100WAC-P-M supply provides a 675W PoE budget, and the chassis has bays for two hot-swappable supplies. A second 1100W supply raises the budget to 1775W.
StackWise-320 joins up to eight Catalyst 9300L-M switches at 320 Gbps. Each switch intended for a stack uses a C9300L-STAK-KIT2-M, and StackPower is not available on this line.
Application Scenarios
On an office floor managed from the Meraki Dashboard, the switch powers Wi-Fi access points and IP phones from its UPOE ports and passes their traffic upstream over its SFP+ uplinks.
Where access points uplink at 2.5G, 5G or 10G, the 12 Multigigabit copper ports connect them over existing Cat5e or Cat6 cabling while the 36 Gigabit ports serve desktops and cameras.
A branch with more than 48 drops can stack up to eight Catalyst 9300L-M switches over StackWise-320 and manage the stack as one unit from the dashboard.

C9300L-48UXG-4X-M has the same 12 Multigigabit and 36 Gigabit UPOE ports, 4 x 10G/1G SFP+ uplinks and 675W default budget as C9300L-48UXG-4X-A and C9300L-48UXG-4X-E; what separates it is management from the Cisco Meraki Dashboard with a Meraki Advanced or Enterprise license instead of Catalyst software. Sites that manage the switch with Catalyst software and a 3, 5 or 7 year Cisco DNA or Catalyst subscription should order C9300L-48UXG-4X-A, or C9300L-48UXG-4X-E where Network Essentials is enough. Closets with 24 or fewer drops can use C9300L-24UXG-4X-M, which keeps Meraki management but starts at 880W with eight Multigigabit ports, against 675W and twelve on this model.

Ordering Checklist
- Meraki license: Order a Meraki Advanced or Enterprise term of 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 years separately from the -M switch. The Meraki dashboard does not recognize the switch without a term license.
- Second power supply: Add a second 1100W supply, which a Meraki order does not add by default. With it the PoE budget is 1775W; without it, 675W.
- Stack kit: Select C9300L-STACK-KIT or C9300L-STACK-KIT2 with the cable length separately, since a Meraki order does not add accessories by default. A stack needs the kit.
- Power cords: Select the cord type for the destination country; two cords ship with the default configuration. The configurator defaults to North America cords.
