The C9300L-24UXG-2Q-A is a Cisco Catalyst 9300L Series fixed-uplink stackable access switch for wiring closets that serve multigigabit Wi-Fi access points alongside Gigabit endpoints. The switch has 8 multigigabit and 16 Gigabit Cisco UPOE copper ports, two fixed 40G QSFP+ uplinks, a 722W default PoE budget on the 1100W supply and 352 Gbps of switching capacity. The -A suffix carries Network Advantage, which adds BGP, VXLAN and MPLS beyond Network Essentials.

Product Performance
Key Features
Eight ports negotiate 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G or 10G for faster access points, while the other sixteen run 10M, 100M or 1G. The split suits a closet with a few high-speed drops and many ordinary ones.
The uplinks are built in rather than modular. QSFP+ breakout interfaces are supported from Cisco IOS XE Gibraltar 16.12.2, so a 40G port can also feed four 10G links.
The 1100W supply gives 722W of PoE by default. A 350W second supply raises that to 1072W, and a 715W or 1100W second supply reaches 1440W, the limit set by port count and port rating.
Each port can deliver 60W of Cisco UPOE or IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 power. Powering all 24 ports at that level takes two 1100W supplies.
Routing is not capped at the 1,000 OSPF routes of Network Essentials, and BGP, VRF, VXLAN, LISP and MACsec-256 are included. The tier is fixed by the license built into the hardware.
Members join a StackWise-320 ring through a stack kit. Catalyst 9300L switches do not support StackPower, and each switch keeps its own PoE budget.
Application Scenarios
On an office floor where access points need more than 1G, the switch powers them from its eight multigigabit UPOE ports and serves phones and desktops from the sixteen Gigabit ports.
In a hospital or school building, the switch collects cameras, phones and access points from nearby rooms and hands their traffic to the building aggregation layer over two 40G QSFP+ uplinks.
A branch site that grows past 24 ports can stack more switches over StackWise-320 and keep Network Advantage routing and segmentation across the whole stack.

A closet with more than 24 copper drops needs C9300L-48UXG-2Q-A, with 12 mGig and 36 1G ports at 472 Gbps, though its default PoE budget falls to 675W. Where Network Advantage is not needed, C9300L-24UXG-2Q-E keeps the same ports, uplinks and 722W budget under Network Essentials.

Ordering Checklist
- Subscription tier: Order a Network Advantage term: C9300L-DNA-A-24-xY (Cisco DNA) or C9300L-DNX-A-24-xY (Cisco Catalyst), with x = 3, 5 or 7. New orders require a subscription of the same tier as the built-in Network Advantage license, and the configurator defaults to Cisco DNA Advantage for 5 years.
- Second power supply: A second PWR-C1-1100WAC-P is selected by default; C9300L-SPS-NONE removes it. Without it PoE stays at the 722W single-supply level; the 1440W maximum needs a second supply.
- Stack kit: Choose C9300L-STACK-KIT (STACK-T3 cable) or C9300L-STACK-KIT2 (STACK-T3A cable), with a 50 cm, 1 m or 3 m cable. A C9300L stack kit holds two adapters and one cable, and the cable series must match the kit.
- Power cords: Select the cord type for the destination country; two cords ship and the default is North America. The wrong cord type does not fit the local outlet.
