The C9300L-48UXG-2Q-A is a Cisco Catalyst 9300L fixed-uplink stackable UPOE switch for wiring closets that serve multigigabit Wi-Fi access points. The switch has 12 mGig ports at up to 10G, 36 Gigabit copper ports, two fixed 40G QSFP+ uplinks and 472 Gbps of switching capacity, and the default 1100W supply provides 675W of PoE. Catalyst 9300L switches do not support StackPower, so each stack member keeps its own power budget.

Product Performance
Key Features
Twelve ports run at 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G or 10G and the other 36 at 10M, 100M or 1G. Cat5e carries up to 5G, while 10G needs Cat6 up to 55 m or Cat6A up to 100 m.
The 40G QSFP+ uplinks are built into the chassis, so uplink speed is set by the optics or cables installed rather than by a network module.
The default 1100W supply gives 675W of PoE. A second 350W, 715W or 1100W supply raises the budget to 1025W, 1390W or 1775W.
The switch operates as an IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 device. Delivering 60W UPOE on up to 30 of the 48 ports takes two PWR-C1-1100WAC-P supplies.
Network Advantage adds BGP, VRF, VXLAN, MPLS, NETCONF/RESTCONF and MACsec-256 to the Layer 2 and limited OSPF routing in Network Essentials.
Up to eight Catalyst 9300L or 9300LM units on one license tier stack at 320 Gbps. StackPower is not supported, so power is planned switch by switch.
Application Scenarios
On an office or campus floor with Wi-Fi access points that need 2.5G, 5G or 10G links, the 12 mGig ports connect the access points and supply their power over UPOE.
In a wiring closet whose distribution layer offers 40G ports, the two QSFP+ uplinks carry the closet traffic upstream without a separate uplink module.
Where endpoints draw up to 60W per port, the switch supplies Cisco UPOE Type 3 power to them from the 1100W supplies in its two power supply bays.

Closets with only 8 mGig and 16 1G ports move to C9300L-24UXG-2Q-A, which has a 722W default budget. Network Essentials hardware with the same ports is C9300L-48UXG-2Q-E; all members of one stack must run the same license tier.

Ordering Checklist
- Subscription term: Order C9300L-DNA-A-48-3Y, -5Y or -7Y for a Network Advantage switch. The configurator defaults to Cisco DNA Advantage for 5 years, and the term must be the same tier as the switch.
- Second power supply: The default is PWR-C1-1100WAC-P; adding a 350W, 715W or 1100W second supply raises available PoE from 675W to 1025W, 1390W or 1775W. The 675W default budget limits the powered endpoints a single supply can serve.
- Stacking kit: C9300L-STACK-KIT is added by default with a 50 cm cable (50CM, 1M or 3M); C9300L-STACK-KIT2 is the alternative kit. The two kits use different cable families, and a switch ordered without the kit cannot join a StackWise-320 stack.
- Power cords: Select the cord type for the destination country; North America is the default. Two cords ship with the switch, and the default does not match other countries.
