C9300X-48TX-E Description
The Cisco Catalyst C9300X-48TX-E is a high-density, data-only access edge switch—sometimes called the “48TX multigig data switch”—designed for modern campus LANs and branch deployments. It offers 48 × 10GBASE-T copper ports for high-speed connectivity, backed by a 1 Tbps StackWise-1T fabric (2.76 Tbps in a full stack), and hardware-accelerated 100 Gbps IPsec with AES-256 MACsec for encryption at wire speed. With an x86 CPU, 16 GB of DRAM, and an external SSD slot, it doubles as a container-hosting platform for on-device analytics. The Network Essentials license provides core Layer 2/3 switching, NETCONF/RESTCONF automation, and basic troubleshooting features to streamline operations and accelerate digital transformation.
