C9300-48UB-E Description
Cisco Catalyst C9300-48UB-E offers 48 Universal PoE (UPOE) ports—each up to 60 W—powered by an integrated 1100 W AC PSU (822 W PoE budget). Its UADP 2.0 ASIC delivers 256 Gbps of switching capacity and, when stacked via StackWise-480, achieves 736 Gbps switching capacity with stacking, forwarding up to 190.47 Mpps (553.42 Mpps stacked). With a 64 MB packet buffer, it handles bursts more effectively than standard models. Running IOS XE with Network Essentials, it supports VLANs, static/EIGRP/OSPF Lite, QoS, and hardware ACLs. Ideal for fiber-backed access closets, branch aggregation, or PoE-heavy deployments requiring deep buffering and basic Layer 3.

Key Features
64 MB Packet Buffer
Enhances burst absorption, reducing congestion and packet loss in video or large-file traffic.
48 × UPOE Ports (60 W)
Supports high-power devices (Wi-Fi 6E APs, pan-tilt-zoom cameras, digital signage) with 822 W budget from integrated 1100 W PSU.
StackWise-480 Scalability
Create a single logical fabric of up to eight switches, yielding 736 Gbps switching capacity with stacking and 553.42 Mpps aggregate forwarding.
Network Essentials Image
Provides basic Layer 3 (static/EIGRP Lite/OSPF Lite), VLANs, QoS, hardware ACLs via UADP 2.0 ASIC.
Modular Uplinks
One hot-swappable slot supporting 1 GbE, 10 GbE, 25 GbE, 40 GbE, or 100 GbE optics for flexible aggregation.
UADP 2.0 ASIC
Wire-speed hardware forwarding, 32 000 MAC addresses, 32 000 IPv4 routes, Flexible NetFlow, and low latency.
Applications Scenarios
Power and connect dozens of Wi-Fi 6E APs and UPOE cameras while handling large multicast or broadcast bursts with 64 MB buffering. Stack up to eight for campus-wide layers.
Consolidate UPOE-powered VoIP phones, cameras, and access control under one chassis. Basic routing (OSPF Lite/EIGRP Lite) connects to a WAN router, and deep buffering smooths intermittent bulk traffic.
Aggregate UPOE-powered sensors, signage, and kiosks at multigig speed. 64 MB buffer handles sporadic large-chunk uploads from IP cameras, ensuring minimal jitter.
