Up to eight units stack over StackWise-480 at 480 Gbps per member, and StackPower lets stack members share power headroom, which can extend usable PoE budget across the stack rather than per switch.
Network Advantage on this hardware unlocks unlimited-scale OSPF, VRF and VXLAN segmentation, and MACsec-256, entitlements the same chassis cannot reach under Network Essentials regardless of PoE or port configuration.
The modular uplink slot accepts a field-replaceable network module such as the C9300-NM-8X, so the uplink speed can move from 1G/10G to 25G or 40G later without replacing the switch chassis.
