The N9K-C9364C-GX is a Cisco Nexus 9300-GX Series 2RU fixed-port switch for 100G spine and aggregation layers in NX-OS or ACI fabrics. The switch has 64 40/100G QSFP28 ports, 12.8 Tbps of switching bandwidth, over 4.3 Bpps of forwarding and an 80 MB system buffer, and it draws 811W typical and 1622W maximum from 2000W power supplies. Each group of four ports runs at one fixed speed, and mixed speeds inside a quad are not supported.

Key Features
The chassis holds 64 fixed 40/100G QSFP28 ports. That density suits a 100G spine without a modular chassis.
Bandwidth is 12.8 Tbps with over 4.3 Bpps of forwarding. An 80 MB system buffer absorbs bursts across all 64 ports.
All ports support 2×50, 2×25 and 2×10 breakout, and odd ports add 4×10 and 4×25. Each four-port quad holds one speed, so port groups are planned before cabling.
The two 2000W supplies run in 1+1 redundancy, in AC, DC or HVAC/HVDC types. Four fan modules work in 3+1 redundancy.
A QSA adapter lets any port take a 10G optic, alongside native 40G and 100G.
The switch runs NX-OS 9.3.3 or later, or ACI-N9KDK9-14.2(3) or later in either the spine or leaf role.
Application Scenarios
In a leaf-spine data center, the switch acts as a spine with 64 QSFP28 ports that each reach a leaf switch over 100G.
A server or storage block with many 40G and 100G switches can land them on the switch, since 64 fixed QSFP28 ports consolidate the uplinks in one chassis.
An ACI fabric can place the switch in either the spine or the leaf role, because the 9300-GX hardware supports both modes from ACI-N9KDK9-14.2(3).

N9K-C9364C-GX is the high-density QSFP28 model of this group: 64 40/100G QSFP28 ports in 2RU at 12.8 Tbps, against 28 QSFP28 plus 8 QSFP-DD ports in 1RU at 12 Tbps on N9K-C93600CD-GX. Racks that need 100/400G QSFP-DD ports on the switch move to N9K-C93600CD-GX, or to N9K-C9316D-GX when all 16 ports should be QSFP-DD with no QSFP28 at a 1RU height. Port groups matter on N9K-C9364C-GX because each group of four ports must run at one speed, with no mixed speeds inside a quad. It also draws on 2000W supplies, while N9K-C93600CD-GX and N9K-C9316D-GX use 1100W units, which changes the rack power plan.
Ordering Checklist
- Fan modules: Order NXA-FAN-160CFM2-PE (exhaust, blue) or NXA-FAN-160CFM2-PI (intake, burgundy). Fans and power supplies must share one airflow direction, so the PE or PI suffix has to match.
- Power supplies: Select NXA-PAC-2KW-PE or -PI (AC) and NXA-PDC-2KW-PE or -PI (DC); the data sheet also lists NXA-PHV-2KW-PI for HVAC/HVDC, which the hardware guide does not. The two documents disagree on the HVAC/HVDC supply, so that PID needs Cisco’s confirmation before it goes on the order.
- Power cords: Add the 2KW-specific cords CAB-TA-NA, CAB-TA-UK, CAB-TA-250V-JP, CAB-TA-EU, CAB-C15-CBN, CAB-ACBZ-12A, CAB-TA-IN or CAB-TA-IS for the destination country. The 2000W supplies use their own cord family, so a generic cord may not fit.
- Rack kit: Add N9K-C9300-RMK or N9K-C9300-ACK; NXK-ACC-KIT-1RU is not listed for this model. The mounting hardware is a separate accessory line, and the 1RU kit is not the one for this 2RU chassis.
