The C1300-24FP-4X is a Cisco Catalyst 1300 Series managed Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ switch for branch and small-office access closets that power phones, cameras and access points. The switch has 24 Gigabit PoE+ ports with a 375W PoE budget, 4 x 10G SFP+ uplinks, 128.0 Gbps of switching capacity and a single fan. The C1300-24FP-4X belongs to C1300 Family 1, so it stacks only with other Family 1 models, up to 8 units per stack.

Key Features
The 24 PoE+ ports draw from one 375W pool, which covers 15W on every port at once or 12 devices at the full 30W. Budget the pool by endpoint wattage rather than by port count.
SR optics reach 26 to 400 m on multimode and LR optics reach 10 km on single-mode. Direct-attach and active optical cables cover short runs between racks.
Family 1 units stack under one IP address with hardware failover, cross-stack link aggregation and up to 400 managed ports. Stack ports are configured from the SFP+ ports and carry no user traffic afterward, and a stack needs at least 2 enabled stack ports.
IPv4 and IPv6 route at wire speed, with RIP v2, policy-based routing and a built-in DHCP server. OSPF is limited to C1300X models, so dynamic routing here is RIP v2.
The chassis has one fan rated at 39 dBA at 25°C. With 24 PoE ports loaded, the unit dissipates 1548.8 BTU/hr, which cabinet cooling has to absorb.
Voice VLAN with Voice Services Discovery Protocol places phones in a voice VLAN with QoS treatment. Auto Smartports applies port roles from CDP or LLDP-MED discovery.
Application Scenarios
In a branch wiring closet, the switch powers IP phones and access points from its 24 PoE+ ports and sends their traffic to the site core over 10G SFP+ links.
A multi-floor office can join up to 8 Family 1 units with 10G stack links on the SFP+ ports and manage them as one switch under a single IP address.
A warehouse or retail back room can terminate IP cameras and door readers on the PoE+ ports, where the 375W budget is shared across all 24 ports.

- Stack links: Use 10G SFP+ ports as stack ports, preferably with direct attach copper such as SFP-H10GB-CU1M; only C1300 Family 1 models stack together, up to 8 units. Enable at least 2 stack ports per unit; RJ45 SFP modules and third-party SFPs are not guaranteed.
- Power cord: Keep the included power cord, or select NO-POWER-CORD to leave it out.
