The C1300-24P-4X is a Cisco Catalyst 1300 Series managed Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ switch for small-office and branch access closets with moderate PoE loads. The switch has 24 Gigabit PoE+ ports sharing a 195W PoE budget, 4 x 10G SFP+ uplinks, 128.0 Gbps of switching capacity and a fanless chassis. The C1300-24P-4X belongs to C1300 Family 1, so it stacks only with other Family 1 models, up to 8 units per stack.

Key Features
The 24 PoE+ ports draw from one 195W pool, about 8W per port if every port is powered, or six devices at the full 30W. Endpoint wattage, not port count, sets the limit.
The chassis has no fan, so there is no acoustic rating and no fan to fail. It still dissipates 804.1 BTU/hr at full PoE load.
SR optics reach 26 to 400 m on multimode and LR optics reach 10 km on single-mode. Direct-attach and active optical cables cover short runs between racks.
Family 1 units stack under one IP address with hardware failover and cross-stack link aggregation. Stack ports are configured from the SFP+ ports and carry no user traffic afterward.
Worst-case draw is 235.8W at 110V and 232.9W at 220V with PoE loaded, against 31.4W and 31.8W without. Size circuits and UPS capacity to the loaded figure.
Voice VLAN with Voice Services Discovery Protocol places phones in a voice VLAN with QoS treatment. Auto Smartports applies port roles from CDP or LLDP-MED discovery.
Application Scenarios
In an open-plan office or classroom outside a wiring closet, the fanless chassis powers phones and wireless access points from its PoE+ ports without fan noise.
A retail store can connect a few IP cameras, card readers and an access point to the PoE+ ports, which share a 195W budget, and link to the site router over 10G SFP+.
In a small branch cabinet, the switch powers phones and cameras and links back to the aggregation layer over its four SFP+ uplinks.

C1300-24P-4X and C1300-24FP-4X differ in PoE budget: C1300-24P-4X supplies 195W to its 24 PoE+ ports and C1300-24FP-4X supplies 375W, with the same 4 x 10G SFP+ uplinks and 128.0 Gbps. Closets whose combined endpoint draw exceeds 195W should order C1300-24FP-4X. Closets with no powered endpoints can order C1300-24T-4X, which has the same uplinks and switching capacity with no PoE output. Where the upstream handoff is 1G fiber, C1300-24P-4G keeps 195W but has 4 x 1G SFP uplinks and 56.0 Gbps, and it is not in the C1300 Family 1 stacking list, so stacked closets stay on a 4X model.

- SFP+ uplink modules: Choose modules or cables from the Catalyst 1300 supported list, such as SFP-10G-SR, SFP-10G-LR, SFP-10G-T-X or SFP-10G-AOC1M, matched to each link’s reach and media for the 4 SFP+ slots.
- Stack links: Use 10G SFP+ ports as stack ports, preferably with direct attach copper such as SFP-H10GB-CU1M; only C1300 Family 1 models stack together, up to 8 units. Enable at least 2 stack ports per unit; RJ45 SFP modules and third-party SFPs are not guaranteed.
- Power cord: Keep the included power cord, or select NO-POWER-CORD to leave it out.
