C1300X-10NU-2X Description
The C1300X-10NU-2X is a Cisco Catalyst 1300X Series fixed managed Layer 3 5G multigigabit PoE++ switch for branch offices that power Wi-Fi 7 access points. The switch has ten 5G ports at 60W PoE++ each on a shared 385W budget, two SFP28 uplinks running at 10G, 140 Gbps of switching capacity and one 38.9 dBA fan. Stacking of up to eight units works only within the C1300X Family, so the switch cannot join a C1300 Family 1 or Family 2 stack.

Product Performance
Key Features
Each of the 10 ports is rated 60W PoE++, but the pool is 385W: six endpoints at the full 60W use 360W, and a seventh would bring the total to 420W. The budget, not the port count, caps how many 60W endpoints one unit can power.
The two SFP28 slots run 10G uplinks and reach 25G only for stacking. Ten 5G ports total 50G against 20G of uplink, a 2.5:1 ratio worth weighing when many endpoints transmit at once.
Dynamic routing includes OSPF v2 and v3, which run on C1300X models only, beside RIP v2 and policy-based routing. With room for 7,168 IPv4 routes and 256 IP interfaces, the switch can exchange routes with the branch router and route between VLANs locally.
With PoE loaded the unit draws 453.2W at 110V (442.2W at 220V) and dissipates 1546.38 BTU/hr, against 51.9W without PoE. A small room or shelf needs circuit and cooling capacity planned around the loaded figure.
The chassis is 268 mm wide, with one fan rated 38.9 dBA at 25°C and an operating range of -5° to 50°C. An install outside a wiring closet needs a spot that tolerates that noise and temperature range.
Persistent PoE keeps power on to attached access points while the switch reboots, and time-based PoE can switch power off on a user-defined schedule. A maintenance restart need not drop powered endpoints with it.
Application Scenarios
In a branch office, the switch powers high-draw wireless access points at up to 60W PoE++ per port, with the two SFP28 slots linking at 10G to the site router or core.
A retail store or open-plan office can house the switch outside the wiring closet, where a 38.9 dBA fan is acceptable, to power the access points and other endpoints that serve the room.
In a hotel, the switch carries guest wireless traffic, and its security and segmentation features keep guest sessions apart from each other and from business traffic.

C1300X-10NU-2X puts 60W PoE++ on all ten 5G ports from a 385W budget, whereas C1300-8MGP-2X has eight 30W PoE+ ports, four of them 2.5G, on 120W with no OSPF. Floors with more than 10 powered ports or more than 385W need C1300X-24NGU-4X or C1300X-24MU-4X, which have 24 PoE-capable ports and 740W with four SFP28 slots, but only 8 ports at 60W. C1300-8MGP-2X suits endpoints that draw 30W or less, 120W combined, and no OSPF routing; it is fanless but belongs to C1300 Family 1, so it cannot stack with this switch. C1300X-10NU-2X has one fan rated 38.9 dBA.

|
Shared budget |
385W of power dedicated to PoE across the 10 PoE-capable ports |
|
Port rating |
Each of the 10 5G ports is rated 60W PoE++ |
|
PoE standards |
802.3bt (Type 3) PoE++ and 802.3at PoE+; each endpoint’s PoE class has to fit within the 60W port rating |

Endpoint total |
Sum the rated draw of every access point, phone, and camera, then compare the sum with 385W instead of with ten times the 60W rating |
|
Port count |
The unit has 10 PoE-capable ports, so each powered endpoint beyond ten needs another switch |

Ordering Checklist
- SFP28 uplink modules: Add a 10G module or cable per used SFP28 slot, such as SFP-10G-SR, SFP-10G-LR or SFP-10G-AOC1M. The slots are SFP28 with 10G as the uplink speed.
- Stack links: For a stack, add modules or cables for the SFP28 slots, such as SFP-H25G-CU1M or SFP-25G-AOC1M, with members from the C1300X Family only. The SFP28 slots offer 25G for stacking only, and Family members cannot stack with C1300 models.
- Power cord: Keep the cord in the package or select NO-POWER-CORD. With NO-POWER-CORD selected the box has no cord, so one must be sourced separately.
