C1300X-24T-4X Description
The C1300X-24T-4X is a Cisco Catalyst 1300X Series fixed managed Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet switch for small-business and branch-office access networks that need OSPF routing. The switch has 24 Gigabit copper ports and four SFP28 uplinks at 10G, with 128 Gbps of switching capacity and a single fan rated at 20.3 dBA. The switch has no PoE, so every port is data-only, and stacking of up to eight units accepts only C1300X Family models.

Key Features
Worst-case system draw is 31.7W at 110V (136.14 BTU/hr), and the single fan is rated 20.3 dBA at 25°C. With no PoE load to budget, demands on UPS and cooling stay small.
The switch routes IPv4 and IPv6 at wire speed with up to 7,168 IPv4 routes and 256 IP interfaces, and OSPF v2 and v3 run alongside RIP v2. DHCP server and relay functions keep VLAN routing and address assignment at the edge.
Up to eight C1300X Family units run as one system under a single IP, with hardware failover and link aggregation across members. A closet grows by adding a unit instead of replacing the switch.
Application Scenarios
In a branch office, the switch sits at the edge and runs OSPF toward the upstream router over 10G uplinks while the 24 copper ports serve desktops and printers.
A small office can keep visitor traffic apart from staff traffic, with guest VLAN and web authentication separating the two groups on data-only ports.
Because the single fan runs at 20.3 dBA, the switch can sit in a back room or open workspace rather than a dedicated wiring closet.

C1300X-24T-4X and C1300-24T-4X are both data-only 24 x 10/100/1000 models, but C1300X-24T-4X adds OSPF v2 and v3, 4 x SFP28 slots with 10G uplinks and 25G for stacking, and a 3 MB buffer against 1.5 MB, while C1300-24T-4X is fanless and stacks only in C1300 Family 1. A site that needs 48 data ports in the same family moves to C1300X-48T-4X, which switches 176 Gbps against 128 Gbps. Any port that must power a phone, camera or access point calls for C1300X-24P-4X, with 30W PoE+ on all 24 ports from a 385W budget. C1300-24T-4X is the choice only where OSPF is not needed.
Ordering Checklist
- Stack members: C1300X-24T-4X stacks only with C1300X Family PIDs, up to 8 units, over its SFP28 slots (25G for stacking only). Buy SFP-25G-AOC1M, SFP-H25G-CU1M or another supported 25G stack link separately; C1300 Family 1 and Family 2 models cannot join.
- Uplink optics: Add a 10G module from the supported list, such as SFP-10G-SR, SFP-10G-LR, SFP-10G-ER or SFP-10G-AOC1M, to each of the 4 SFP28 slots. The slots ship empty and the uplink runs at 10G on this model.
- Power cord: A power cord matched to the site outlet ships in the package. Select NO-POWER-CORD to leave it out, and the box then has no cord.
