C1300-24XTS Description
The C1300-24XTS is a Cisco Catalyst 1300 Series fixed managed Layer 3 switch for branch and small-business sites that need 10G copper and 10G fiber links on one chassis. The switch has 12 10G copper ports and 12 10G SFP+ ports as separate non-combo ports, with 480 Gbps of nonblocking switching capacity, a 357.12 Mpps forwarding rate and no PoE. Stacking is limited to C1300 Family 2 models, up to 8 units.

Product Performance
Key Features
The 12 copper ports and 12 SFP+ ports are independent, so all 24 data links can be cabled at once with no combo pair giving up one side.
Up to eight C1300 Family 2 units run as one system with a single IP address, hardware failover and link aggregation across members, in ring or chain topologies with hot swap of units.
Worst-case draw is 88.2W at 110V, dissipating 300.76 BTU/hr, and the fan is rated under 39 dBA at 25°C. The chassis is 273 mm deep, which matters for shallow cabinets.
Application Scenarios
At a branch site, the switch terminates 10G copper links from local servers and workstations and SFP+ fiber links from floor switches on one unit.
In a small server or storage rack, the switch links 10G copper hosts directly and SFP+ hosts over twinax or active optical cables, with iSCSI traffic optimization giving storage traffic priority.
A branch office that carries corporate, voice and guest VLANs can use the switch as its routing point, with inter-VLAN routing, DHCP services and Voice VLAN handling on the switch.

C1300-24XTS splits its 24 data ports into 12 10G copper plus 12 10G SFP+ with no combo pairs, where C1300-24XT has 20 copper ports plus 4 copper/SFP+ combos. A rack that is mostly fiber or twinax with few copper drops fits C1300-24XS, which draws 49.46W worst case at 110V against 88.2W for C1300-24XTS, and copper-heavy plans fit C1300-24XT. C1300-16XTS keeps the dedicated 8 copper plus 8 SFP+ layout at 320 Gbps, a 3 MB buffer and a 268 mm wide chassis, so sites that stay within eight links per media can drop to it. All four are data-only and stack within C1300 Family 2.
Ordering Checklist
- Stack members: Stack only with C1300 Family 2 models: C1300-12XT-2X, C1300-12XS, C1300-16XTS, C1300-24XS, C1300-24XT or C1300-24XTS, up to 8 units. Cisco does not support stacking across families, so a member from another family cannot join.
- Stack links: Add DAC cables (preferred) or 10G optics for the SFP+ ports that become stack ports, at least 2 per unit; avoid RJ45 SFPs such as SFP-10G-T-X. The switch has no stack ports by default, and a port configured for stacking no longer carries user traffic.
- SFP+ optics and cables: Add modules or cables from the Catalyst 1300 supported list for the 12 SFP+ slots, such as SFP-10G-SR, SFP-10G-LR, SFP-H10GB-CU1M or SFP-10G-AOC1M. The switch ships without optics, so each SFP+ link needs its own module or cable on the order.
- Power cord: Keep the included power cord or select NO-POWER-CORD. A switch ordered with NO-POWER-CORD arrives without a cord.
