The C9200L-24P-4G-A is a Cisco Catalyst 9200L fixed-uplink stackable access switch for wiring closets that power phones and access points over PoE+. The switch has 24 1G PoE+ ports and four fixed 1G SFP uplinks, with a 370W PoE budget from its default PWR-C5-600WAC supply, 740W with a second one, and StackWise-80 at 80 Gbps. The -A suffix carries Network Advantage, which adds HSRP, IS-IS and VRF segmentation, and stack members must share one license tier.

Product Performance
Key Features
The default supply gives a 370W PoE budget, about 15W per port if all 24 ports draw power at once. That covers phones and most access points, while a full load of 30W devices needs more power.
The chassis has two supply bays. A second PWR-C5-600WAC can back up the first or raise the budget to 740W, though 24 PoE+ ports cap total PoE at 720W.
Four 1G SFP uplinks are built in, and there is no network-module slot to change them. The 24 access ports can send 24 Gbps toward those uplinks, a 6:1 ratio when all four are in use.
Up to eight Catalyst 9200L switches stack at 80 Gbps and run with one management and control plane. All members need the same license tier, and Catalyst 9200 modular-uplink models cannot join.
This tier adds HSRP, IS-IS and fuller EIGRP over Network Essentials, together with VRF, VXLAN, LISP and SGT segmentation. The access layer can then take part in routing and tenant separation.
The tables hold 16,000 MAC addresses, 3,000 IPv4 and 1,500 IPv6 routing entries and 1,500 ACL entries on 2 GB of DRAM. Routes learned in a routed-access closet must fit inside those IPv4 entries.
Application Scenarios
In a branch wiring closet, the switch powers IP phones and wireless access points from its 24 PoE+ ports and sends their traffic to the site router over a 1G SFP uplink.
On a floor shared by several tenants or departments, the switch keeps each group in its own VRF at the access layer before traffic reaches distribution.
When a closet outgrows 24 ports, a second Catalyst 9200L on the same license tier joins the stack and the two switches are managed as one.

C9200L-24P-4G-A and C9200L-24P-4X-A share 24 PoE+ ports and a 370W default budget, but C9200L-24P-4X-A has 4 fixed 1G/10G uplinks and 128 Gbps of switching capacity against 4 fixed 1G SFP uplinks and 56 Gbps, so any distribution link that will run 10G needs the 4X model. Closets with more than 24 powered drops need C9200L-48P-4G-A, which comes with PWR-C5-1KWAC for a 740W default budget and 1440W with a second supply. Sites that use none of EIGRP, HSRP, IS-IS or VRF segmentation can take C9200L-24P-4G-E on the same hardware with Network Essentials; every stack member must carry the same tier.

Ordering Checklist
- Subscription: Select a Network Advantage 24-port term: Cisco DNA (C9200L-DNA-A-24, 3Y, 5Y or 7Y) or Cisco Catalyst (C9200L-DNX-A-24, 3Y, 5Y or 7Y). The subscription must match the -A hardware tier, and the order defaults to a 3-year Cisco DNA term.
- Second power supply: PWR-C5-600WAC is the default; a second PWR-C5-600WAC raises PoE from 370W to 740W. A single supply leaves the 24 PoE+ ports without full budget.
- Stack kit: Add C9200L-STACK-KIT, with two stack adapters and one STACK-T4-50CM cable; STACK-T4-1M and STACK-T4-3M are the longer options. The kit does not come with the switch and works only between C9200L models of the same license tier.
- Power cord: Order a CAB-TA-* cord for the destination country, such as CAB-TA-NA= or CAB-TA-UK=. The AC supply needs a country-specific cord ordered with it.
